Office 365 Migration Architect/Engineer - Presidio

Our Client is currently seeking a talented Office 365 Migration Architect/Engineer to manage and implement cloud migrations and operations within Microsoft cloud platforms, primarily Azure and Office 365.
This role is responsible for the planning, design and implementation of Office 365, ensuring the environment is supported, resilient, and scalable. This role manages, maintains, supports, troubleshoots and optimizes Office 365 primarily SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, Skype for Business, OneDrive for Business, Office, Azure AD, AD Connect, Active Directory environments on on-prem and hybrid configurations.


  • Oversee and manage all aspects of enterprise cloud migration projects, as well as ongoing cloud operations
  • Manage project timelines, resources (both technical and non-technical), tasks, risks, budget and scope
  • Ensure alignment of all major infrastructure decisions and investments with the overall cloud migration strategy and target architecture
  • Provide regular cadence of reporting, with insights and recommendations on how to meet key milestones, manage risk, and ensure project success
  • Generate and review documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, policies, procedures, compliance artifacts, disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Think strategically with business objectives in mind, while staying on top of tactical execution
  • Engage support staff to define and maintain a robust support model
  • Ensure that all deliverables are delivered on-time and are aligned with the target architecture
  • Deliver Office 365 solutions
  • Design, plan and implement Active Directory, ADFS, and Azure AD
  • Configure Office 365 workloads such as OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online and Skype for Business
  • Manage hybrid environment of Exchange Server and Exchange Online
Qualifications & Skills:
Must have implementation experience and in-depth understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies, services and solutions, including Office 365, Azure, Teams, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business, OneDrive and PSTN calling in a Teams environment
  • Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Individual has experience working with Exchange Server 2013, and 2016, can troubleshoot Hybrid Connectivity issues, and can provide Exchange Server support
  • Individual can troubleshoot directory synchronization issues from Azure AD Connect, Azure AD Sync, and DirSync
  • Individual understands and can troubleshoot authentication services including Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) and Azure AD
  • Strong Active Directory background AD on-prem, Azure AD, AD Connect/Sync, etc.
  • Individual has worked with Azure Rights Management Services (Azure RMS) including creating RMS policies, updating RMS policies, and troubleshooting RMS policies
  • Individual has experience working with other Office 365 technologies including Microsoft Teams, Stream, Planner, Delve, OneDrive and Yammer
  • Familiarity with Office 365 E5 licensing
  • Third-party Office 365 Migration tools for Exchange mailboxes and SharePoint/OneDrive/File Share contents such as ShareGate, BitTitan, Metalogix, AvePoint, Quest Software, and other applicable vendor solutions
  • Relevant Microsoft Office 365 and Azure certifications
Preferred Requirements:
  • Understanding of Microsoft Security Center and Compliance features
  • Understanding of Workplace Analytics configurations and concepts
  • A consulting background with a proven track record of delivering Office 365 migrations within defined timeframes
