Responsibilities:

  • Work independently within a business area and assists at the enterprise level to influence the strategic and infrastructure-related decisions during all phases of an engagement (Strategic/Technical).
  • Know relevant issues and considerations in implementing transformation programs, controls, processes and practices within an enterprise and across all facets of an infrastructure (Strategic)
  • Know relevant issues and considerations in selecting both public and private cloud environments and the associated packages/solutions and vendors including capabilities, clients who have installed them, and user experiences with them (Technical).
  • Recommend, Design and construct policies and standards that impact infrastructure operations and services but also improve overall business performance. (Strategic)
  • Understand interfaces and API's across platforms especially as defined by the emerging Software Define X environments (e.g. Software Defined Storage, software defined networks, etc.) (Technical).
  • Have the ability to drive and lead an overall project as an individual contributor and as part of a large, medium and/or small team
  • Provide consulting support to projects during the vision and strategy, architecture, and development phases (Methodology).
  • Lead both technical and strategic resources (company, client and third-party resources) in the area of expertise to the conclusion of a project phase (Management).
  • Provide input in identifying issues and considerations for selecting business application packages and vendors (Business).
  • Manage client expectations and balances the needs of the company and clients to ensure satisfaction for both (Relationship Management).
  • Influence decisions and project direction at the executive level (Relationship Management).
  • Perform in proposal efforts and assists in sales calls (Leverage).
  • Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel (Leadership).
  • Communicate in formal presentation settings including medium to large sized groups of key decision makers at the executive level; tailor presentations to needs and interests of the audience.
  • Develop blog posts, articles and white papers covering areas of expertise (Communication).
  • Grasp key client issues based on fact-gathering activities and develops appropriate analyses and hypotheses (Business).
  • Communicate company vision, organizational structure abilities and services in context of client situations (Business).
  • Understand and apply approaches and techniques related to business area architecture (BAA), information technology strategy (ITS) and enterprise transformation planning (ETP) (Methodology).
  • Assist sales staff in qualifying leads and generating proposals (Leverage).

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • 8 or more years of consulting experience with management and/or operations strategy
  • 4 to 5 years of consulting experience with infrastructure architecture analysis and design as well as executive level business strategy
  • Master's degree Information Systems or Master's in Business Administration highly desired
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience delivering Strategic Transformation assessments
  • Good technical infrastructure performance modeling and benchmarking skills (i.e. capacity planning and performance engineering)
  • Experience leading clients through visioning and workshop activities
  • Experience working with the client's enterprise products, services, and strategies
  • Experience with building tactical and strategic (multi-year) infrastructure roadmaps for clients plus
  • Experience executing a strategic roadmap to attain business KPI's
  • Experience working with at least two platforms of the following list and associated integration and transformation techniques
  • Enterprise System Management Tools (e.g. Microsoft System Center, Nagios, or Solarwinds)
  • Enterprise System Automation Tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef)
  • Service Desk Tools (e.g. Intelligent Agent Technology, Knowledge Management and Automation)
  • Cloud Management Tools (e.g. RightScale, )
  • Service Management and related best practices for ITIL
  • Strong familiarity with public and private cloud architectures and migration techniques
  • Understanding of desktop and mobile solutions across the enterprise
  • Additional experience in AI Based or predictive tools like IPSoft, Resolve and Amanda are a plus
  • Experience working with business principles, practices and economics
  • Experience working with common best practices, innovations, trends and challenges in the industry
  • Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity
  • Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and the company
  • Ability to adjust personal style to different situations
  • Willingness to travel 75% or more both locally and internationally
  • Current US Passport required.

  • Storage and related storage systems and distributed infrastructure
