Paying & Receiving (Cash) tellers work each day to accept deposits and make payments of currency or coin to domestic and international depository institutions on behalf of the 2nd Client District.

• Accept deposits by receiving, inspecting and sorting coin and currency delivered by armored carriers from depository institutions, central banks, and other financial institutions.
Accurately enter deposit information into computer system to ensure appropriate institution receives credit;
• Prepare currency orders by assembling required denominations, handling and counting coin and currency, and, electronically documenting order processing and payment;
• Release currency and coin orders for depository institutions and central banks to armored carriers according to valuables handling procedures;
• Adhere to and operates within the guidelines of all applicable procedures and custody controls for handling valuables at all times;
• Handle, count, verify, sort, and package cash and coin in support of Paying & Receiving department;
• Accurately enter data in computer-based software system to maintain error-free electronic accounting records of payments, deposits, and other inventory activity;
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines while operating material handling equipment such as powered or manual pallet-movers, pallet-jacks, and other equipment in the performance of daily duties;
• Maintains proper control and accountability of assigned valuables at all times;
• Operate safely within automated warehouse environment;
• Collaborate with peers and management to provide input and process improvement suggestions where applicable

Quals--
Please note that this position requires frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform a team lifts up to a maximum of 100 pounds
• Experience conducting detail oriented inventory management control and ability to perform error-free data entry of deposit and payment information for reconciliation;
• Strong command of arithmetic, computers, and other supporting equipment to perform daily tasks;
• Able and willing to obtain OSHA certification to operate support equipment. Existing certification a plus;
• Willing and able to work from a standing position throughout the day and perform tasks which require repeated bending, squatting, twisting and stooping while remaining mindful of personal and team safety;
• Able to learn, interpret, and adhere to series of guidelines and standards for high volume valuables handling;
• Strong interpersonal skills, great attitude, and ability to work well as a member of a team;
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and customers;
• Able to use common packaging supplies and tools (box cutters, tape, stretch-wrap, etc.) to secure loads of currency on pallets throughout the day;
Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly identify irregularities and problems with paperwork and deposits;
• Comfortable using computer software and hardware in the performance of daily duties.
