Job Description: must have strong financial service background in AML.
The individual would be performing anti-money laundering surveillance on the accounts maintained at the Financial Services business line of *** (Broker Dealer). This surveillance is accomplished by reviewing alerts and analyzing suspect accounts for possible money laundering and other suspicious activities. The account review process involves using the Firm's various systems to evaluate prior activity in the account to determine if there are any transactions that are indicative of money laundering, terrorism financing, or other suspicious activity. The analyst will also determine if the activity makes reasonable sense for the client / institution. The reviews involve performing background research on entities and/or individuals using both public domain and database search services such as LexisNexis. Certain reviews will also involve contacting branch personnel to obtain necessary information about customers and account activity.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education Requirements: College Degree. Experience/Background: 3 to 5 years of wealth management / financial services AML experience. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written skills and should be analytically and technologically advanced. Proficiency in the following systems/software is required: Microsoft Office, SearchSpace / Fortent / Actimize / SAM, LexisNexis, Internet Explorer, case management systems, and / or various Compliance Related systems.
