ServiceNow CMDB/Discovery Technical Lead
Location: Celebration, FL

· Develop discovery solutions related to patterns/probes/sensors/relationship scripting based on architectural solutions recommended by ServiceNow.
· Ensures delivery of the validated solutions and responsible for overall data quality within the scope of ServiceNow
· Validate discovered data
· Review CI quality with owners of data
· Using the CMDB dashboard and created rules, identify devices that have not been discovered in 'x' number of days to assess disposal options
· If a CMDB lifecycle in place identify any gaps in data quality to help achieve those goals
· Health check reviews of existing schedules and their impacts on data quality and expected device returns
· Review of previous schedules for diagnosable errors and completion.
· IP access issues (routing or IP access challenges)
· Compute system access errors (Authentication troubleshooting)
· Identify unclassified network gear, extend classifiers as required for newly discovered items
· Implement and deploy new or modified schedules to access identified IP ranges in growth or datacenter re-alignment

· ServiceNow Discovery:
· Troubleshoot mid server activity and diagnosis discovery methodology issues within schedules
· Ability to develop, create and test server-side object-oriented JavaScript, Unix Shell, Windows and PowerShell scripting.
· Understand standard ServiceNow development methodology
· Troubleshoot discovery errors generated in testing
· Configure schedules and segmented IP ranges as applicable
· Validate output from schedules align with technical requirements
· Understand CMDB data precedence as it relates to IRE and troubleshoot issues in CI creation/updating
· Understanding of CMDB health reports, discovery dashboards and discovery logs
· IT Domain Knowledge:
· Basic level of networking knowledge to include routing protocols, TCP/UDP transmission, IP transit diagnosis, sub-netting, etc.
· Intermediate knowledge and ability in Server Administration across OS platforms. Including the understanding of described domain structures, user permission levels, group policy objects
