Job Description The core skill of every business analyst is developing technical solutions to business problems, or to advance a company's sales efforts, begins with defining, analyzing and documenting requirements; managing requirements at the project level leads to fulfilling business needs.
Business Domain knowledge would be an added advantage however fundamental skills for BA must be strong as a first priority.
Outline of the tasks a typical BA is expected to do.
" Assisting with the business case.
" Planning and monitoring.
" Eliciting requirements.
" Requirements organization.
" Translating and simplifying requirements.
" Requirements management and communication.
" Requirements analysis.
Demonstrated experience as a BA with customer facing (preferable Onsite) is also a must. Clearly high light your achievements and key contributions as a BA.
Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, management, IT or related field. Certified BA would also be preferred.
A minimum 7-8 years of technology experience.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Analysis for any DOMAIN / BUSINESS would help immensely.
Reasonable knowledge of the overall ICT environment, Architectural trends, BA trends, Software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies and Operations would help as the BA is expected to understand the ICT industry well.
Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to build and manage relationships effectively in a matrix environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Ability to use sound judgment
